Back at the end of 2018, I wrote a lengthy blog post about just how difficult that year was for me … mainly because of the passing of my Father and my role in handling his entire estate. It was quite stressful on my being.
What I haven’t shared here yet is that a few months ago my Mother passed away as well. I am, again, in the position of handling her estate and it is stress x’s a zillion as her estate is in FRANCE and everything is sent to me in FRENCH ~ a language I don’t speak, read or write. Thankfully Google Translate and language translation apps have helped me a lot in this process.
One day I will properly write about her passing, as it’s quite cathartic for me, but until then I wanted to share with you a special way that I am currently honoring my parents.

I shared my love for Shoofly505 jewelry not so long ago (blog post HERE) and Joanne, the Designer/Owner of the brand, reached out with an idea. Joanne advised she has the ability to custom some of her pieces and wondered if I might like to add images of my Mother and my Father to her jewelry.
Soooo …
Meet my parents! AREN’T THESE SPECIAL??! I decided to add images of them both as children and I absolutely LOVE how they turned out. I’ve been wearing these rings now practically 24/7.
BTW ~ you can do this too, with whatever image you might like, with Joanne’s rings and her rosary necklaces. Lean more HERE. xoxo!
Oh my goodness those rings are wonderful, Jaime!
I really love them, GF!
This is truly special! Love it!
What a lovely tribute, Jamie! I love this. I’ve lost my mother and father as well, it’s a tough process to go through. Thank you for sharing a beautiful way to honor those we love! Hope you’re stying cool–we’re sizzlin’ here in SoCal 😎💖👑
It feels very weird, doesn’t it Veronica? I mean – they’ve never not been in your life.
Jamie,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. My condolences as I know you’re going through a lot.
It’s all very complex and sad, Rosemary – thank you for your thoughtful comment. XOXO
Such a special and unique way to always keep your parents with you. I love this!
I thought so too!
Jamie So sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. As a former Santa Fe resident I love following your posts to see your beautiful clothing, South West jewelry and scenic locations.
Thank you, Dian for your kind words. I bet you miss fabulous Santa Fe. Glad I can bring you a bit of it in your inbox. XO
