Spotlight On ~ Femme Luxe

Hi Friends!  So before I do a deep-dive into a brand I’ve been wanting to try for a very long time now, I want to revisit the issue that some .of you have had in regards to seeing the images from my blog post on my newsletter that I discussed in this prior blog post. It turns out that the issue is not unique to YOU, it actually spans worldwide! 

My web team contacted me last week to advise that RSS blog images (which is what I have, as do many other blogs and websites) aren’t  pulling through to Apple iPhone users, however they DO pull to Android and Desktop users … and lots of peeps aren’t excited about this.  #RaisesOwnHand ~ so, again, this issue IS being addressed, but now it’s being addressed by people all over the world.  SOMEONE will find a fix, so please just hang in there. 

OK, so let me please discuss FEMME LUXE, a UK based brand that I’ve been spying all over social media for the past few years now. FEMME LUXE is known for selling super reasonably priced and MAJOR trendy clothing ( and, frankly, the brand  leans more towards a … ahem … “younger” gal ~ which is ok with me, but I’ll go deeper into my thoughts on this in just a moment.) with remarkably good quality for their low price points.  They have a huge range of clothing options from bodysuits to joggers to knitwear to coats & jackets to shoes and more, but what you see mostly on their social postings are their little black dresses, their ripped jeans for women and their women’s loungewear sets. 

When FEMME LUXE reached out to me to collaborate, I realized that this was a great opportunity for me to show how their pieces can be styled by women of all ages without worrying about looking too clubby or too overtly sexy ( although their site does totally gives a nod to this kind of look, I feel like you just need to ask yourself  How can I style this for ME at MY current stage of life now? My younger 20-ish year old clubby self, BTW, would have no real issues with their marketing. They know who the majority of their customer base is.)

Ok, so let’s start with this chocolate brown ribbed bodycon midi dress. 

I LOVE this dress! It’s super stretchy, the button detail is crazy good and it would look fab with a blazer or an oversized sweater worn over it.  You could wear this to the office or pretty much anyplace else. The chocolate brown color also happens to be considered one of the colors I look best in.  Read more about what colors look best on you HERE. 

Now the hubby happens to love this little black dress. It’s called the Savannah which, oddly, is the name I wanted my parents to call me when I was little.  There was a cute little girl named Savannah who lived 2 houses down from us when I was growing up and I announced one day that that was the name my parents should call me.  Not sure why that never took off? #WhoooKnows 

It also has stretch, as well as my favorite detail … ruching. It’s definately more of a cocktail/evening look and very similar to the dress that Carrie just wore on her first date night on And Just Like That, except with a sleeve.  #TrèsChic  It’s available in 8 different colors and is big time on sale right now. 

Out of all the pieces I tried from FEMME LUXE, I was most impressed with this loungewear set‘s quality. 

The fabric is quite substantial, has a great boxy cropped hoodie and, as their site states, it’s perfect for the day-to-day slay. Great for lounging around the house or pair it with a moto jacket and lug soled boots. Current and on trend. 

And lastly, this longline midi cardigan offers a little extra style oomph with it’s fun balloon sleeves.
