Two weekends ago, myself and a group of traveler journalists and influencers from around the country, were invited to  Vintners Inn, the only AAA Four-Diamond resort in Santa Rosa located in the heart of Sonoma wine country.  When the invitation arrived, I was excited because I knew that this California Green Lodging-certified resort sits on 92 acres of lush vineyards and fabulous landscaped grounds and it  had just completed a $17 million expansion – which I totally wanted to see and experience – but I was over-the-moon excited because my two favorite travel girlies were invited, as well!

I’m sharing this experience with you because if you’ve ever wanted to travel to wine country, or would like to return there, Vintners Inn is definitely worth a stay.

The Inn offers 78 rooms in five two-story villas. 1 Courtyard Suite; 5 Courtyard Junior Suites, 7 Vineyard View Junior Suite, 3 Vineyard View Suite and 2 VineyardView Terrace Suites.

Every room is gorge and guests can enjoy the workout room, vineyard jogging path, bocce ball, in-room spa services, room service and bell service, in-room refrigerator; morning newspapers, same-day dry cleaning and laundry, in-room Internet access and a complimentary bottle of wine!

Rates vary ~ Courtyard Rooms and Suites: $250-585 & Vineyard View Rooms and Suites: $350-1475

We arrived early Friday afternoon and enjoyed a quick munch at the Inn’s River Vine Café and sat outside on the Vine porch. Their ever changing menu sources seasonal ingredients from their onsite organic garden!

We then needed to quickly get settled because we were about to tour the grounds, visit the organic garden AND meet with other local farmers (the egg farmer and the goat farmer; both providing amazingly fresh eggs and cheese – YUM!) all of this to create their fresh wine country cuisine.

We joined General Manager, Percy Brandon to a farm-to-table dinner (LITERALLY!) in the organic garden created by Chef Tom Schmidt and consumed many a fine wine from Ferrari Carano Winery.   Friends ~ it was AMAZING!!

Saturday morning started with Sound Healing yoga  (this was quite a spirtiual experience!) ….

avocado toast and poached egg from the River Vine Café

and FAB spa experiences at the Vintners Inn new Vi La Vita Spa

Alison Abbott rolls out spa red carpet for you with a extensive menu of coed spa services.

While we were there, there were a variety of vendors giving us an education on some of the items available at the spa,  such as products from HydroPeptide, CBD body care from VITAL BODY Therapeutics & Body Bliss.  (*** I LOVE Body Bliss and they gifted me with my own crystal infused, organic spa aromatherapy created SPECIFICALLY for me!)

There’s a new 2,000-square-foot outdoor pool and terrace intended for pre-and post-treatment relaxation,

as well as a totally awesome Caldarium Lounge with Warm Plunge Bath, where we spent the lions share of our time.

After spa time, SheShe, Shauna and I quickly cleaned up and shot a jewelry collaboration with Chaco Canyon Trading Co

Even though we’re in Wine Country, we’re still Southwest girls at heart.

We then changed outfits and headed to dinner at John Ash & Co., the first Sonoma restaurant to introduce the concept of cooking with seasonal, locally sourced foods and produce while pairing exceptional recipes with wines from the region. Our dinner was served with award winning wines from Ferrari Carano Winery. BTW ~ Rhonda Carano of Ferrari-Carano owns the Vintners Inn.  What a fab life she must live!

After dinner, I returned to the YUMMIEST chocolate cookies in my room as part of my turn-down service.

Sunday morning I packed to return home from our #WineCountryWellness weekend but before I did, we took a lovely stroll through the sustainable vineyard on the grounds at Vintners Inn.

SheShe, Shauna and I then departed for the airport, however the remaining journalists/influencers had the opportunity to experience a VIP tour, tasting and picnic at Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery.

#TotallyJellyIWas

So the takeaway from this Wine Country Wellness trip is that I would absolutely recommend this experience.  The Caranos’ dedication to genuine hospitality is evident everywhere you look and in everything that you do while staying there. They even have a special tag line &  hashtag that I think totally encompasses their passions; #CelebrateEverything!
