So, if you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that earlier in the summer I posted this picture of these c/o Alterre sandals.
I had also had my husband professional photographer take a few pictures of me wearing these special sandals and had some creative photography all ready to post … BUT … I held off.
Why hold off? You ask … and what exactly makes these sandals so special?
Well, check this, friends. Alterre makes shoes that are customizable! That’s right, now you can get multiple looks out of one pair of shoes. Here’s what I mean.
The first thing you do is select your “lift” ~ which is basically the base of your shoe.
I chose the blush sandal as my lift.
I selected the Billy in Blush look and the
What I think is so great about this customizable shoe concept is, not only can you achieve multiple looks, but as a traveler I appreciate that this one pair of shoes takes up very little room in my suitcase. … leaving more room to purchase handbags. #Brilliant
And you can keep all of your different looks safe and sound by storing them in this little bag.
So, why in the world would I keep this FAB shoe secret all to myself? Hold on … I’m gettin’ there …
Now, if you follow my Instagram account, as well as my Facebook and Twitter accounts, then you also saw that I attended segments of New York Fashion Week last week and, while there, I made a visit to Alterre b-e-c-a-u-s-e …
their site is going live THIS week! < insert emoji hands clapping and celebration horn >
It was quite fun playing with a few of their different look options and meeting the Alterre team.
I also loved learning that for every lift, look and/or starter kit that is purchased, Alterre will donate 5% of their profit to Restore NYC.
So follow along, become a member, save 15% and get free shipping.
Boom! It’s that easy.
My feet don’t know which to choose!
What a GREAT idea!!! How long has it taken for somebody to FINALLY do this??
Wish I had thought of it!
Yes! How practical…and cute 🙂 The look on the top right corner is my fave. Thanks for sharing this wonderful find, Jamie! I am looking forward to hearing more about your time at the NYC fashion week, too;-)
So cool! I’m signing up now. Your point about being great for travel is spot on. Shoes always take up too much room in the suitcase. What a great idea!
Brilliant!
Thanks so much for stopping by our studio and playing with the looks. We had a great time. And you look killer in the shoes!
Thanks, Shilpa! I do enjoy wearing them.
Coolest idea ever!
