Two weekends ago I left for a 4 day trip.  This trip included 2 jam-packed Influencer/PR events, a little bit of girlfriend time and 3 airplane flights.  Today I thought I’d share a bit of what I wore, and didn’t wear, and how it all went down,

So early Sunday morning (5 am, to be exact) I flew to Dallas for an evening PR Appreciation Dinner. As an Influencer, I either collaborate directly with brands or directly with PR firms that are contracted by brands to work with Influencers.  The dinner was with Ad Media Group, a PR/Marketing firm that was actually founded by an Influencer, and it did not actually start until 7 pm that night so I was able to connect with two of my fabulous girlfriends and we went to lunch at Sixty Vines in Uptown Dallas.

After a long and giggle-filled lunch, I checked into the Statler Hotel and relaxed for a few hours before preparing for the Appreciation Dinner. Megan picked me up and off we went to the XOXO Dining Room,totally Instagram-able, “pink” sophisticated speakeasy cocktail lounge/venue (take a virtual tour HERE) where I meet the AD Media Team, the Founder herself, Audrie and SO many Influencers I had only previously met via Instagram.

There were numerous brands in attendance, one being Gibsonlook – who I LOVE, and the dinner/event was simply wonderful (see it all on action HERE) but it was right about 9 pm where my lack of sleep had me turning into a pumpkin. I mean … your girl was spent ~ note my eyes in the below pic as NOTHING was helping to me feel better, not even my pretty Eva Franco blouse which, BTW, you can get 40% off it, and anything else on their site, with code JAMIE40

I left with new friendships, great contacts and a fab bag of SWAG!

I awoke early on Monday morning because I had a 6:30 am flight to Chicago as I am collaborating with Macy’s (I’m actually now a Macy’s Style Crew member!) and they invited me to their Autumn Affair.  I’ve worked with Macy’s many times over the years so I was thrilled to get this invite!

Macy’s works with Influencers, but they also have their own in-house Influencers who are Macy’s employees that represent the company on their own social media channels and it was SO GREAT to meet so many of them!  I arrived mid morning, and seeing as the Autumn Affair would be held the next day so as to allow everyone to arrive from their part of the country, I had half a day to enjoy Chicago on my own.

I had fabulous views of Michigan Avenue’s dazzling skyline from my hotel room at the Gwen and I took full advance of this free time.  When I returned to my room I discovered a bag full of goodies from Macy’s and little did I know but this would be the first of 3 bags of swag I would ultimately be gifted. I went to sleep knowing that the next day would be amazing!

The Autumn Affair started with a group breakfast and we were informed that no pictures would be taken so most of us rolled out of bed and into the hotel dinner room.  I wore this shirt that was in my swag bag that says Macy’s Style Crew on the back.

I then went back to my room to change into my outfit for the morning  festivities.

I wearing a long-sleeve cotton shirt from the Gap, these color of the season red On 34th ponte pants, the same Zara mules as above,  Pamela Lauz earrings and this Tiffany cuff. You may not know that On 34th is Macy’s new brand and the pieces are specifically designed for REAL bodies.  They will also pair well with many things you already have in your closet.

You also may not know that Macy’s carries Designer fragrances, like this Paradox Eau de Parfum from Prada.  SO many people told me how nice this fragrance smells on me … which surprised me because I can’t smell it on myself … and I do believe that is an indicator that that particular fragrance is the RIGHT fragrance for you.

We all then gathered and boarded buses to take us to BEATRIX where we mixed & mingled with each other and had really interesting  mixology classes.

We also enjoyed a super delish lunch and desserts! It was right after this where I received goodie bag number 2 which included glasses from Nude, a Godinger Bar set and a cocktail book from Barnes & Noble

We rested in our rooms for a couple of hours and then … as if I hadn’t had enough to eat already … I prepared myself to go out to dinner.  I wore this dress which is super reasonably priced and comes in 18 different colors!  I also ordered the same dress with short sleeves in Barbie pink.

We were all asked to wear something burgundy or bordeaux in color as we were going to have dinner at the Walnut Room. The world-famous Walnut Room was the first restaurant ever opened in a department store (Macy’s on State Street) with Circassian wood paneling imported from Russia and Austrian chandeliers.  The 17,000 square foot dining room is both elegant and comfortable and is conveniently located in the heart of the Chicago theatre district.

This was a wonderful way to end the evening.  Many brands (Dry Bar, Fossil Watches, Benefit Cosmetics and more) were represented with table and booths of their products for us to try and take home.  After dinner we also received swag bag number 3 (below) filled with so many goodies from Macy’s it was impossible to pack all of these items in my suitcase, along the items I received from the PR dinner the previous night, so Macy’s kindly offered to ship all of the items they gifted us to our  respective homes.  Thank you, Macy’s,  and you can watch Macy’s recap of their Autumn Affair HERE

Now ~ the intent of this post was to be more about what I wore (and didn’t wear, but packed) on this trip as opposed to sharing all of the swag that I received.  But I did want to share just how many brand offerings Macy’s has.  Macy’s first store opened 150 years ago and over the years they have grown into “America’s Department Store”. I’m proud to be just a  teeny-tiny  part of it all.

Ok ~ here are a few things that I packed for these trips that didn’t wear that I thought you might enjoy knowing about.

I am overly obsessed with the brand, Sequin, and had packed these necklaces to wear with my burgundy dress but decided at the last minute to wear my large, vintage Le Croix earrings instead.

Sequin is about recognizing the beauty surrounding all of us and channeling that energy to wearable objects. Their pieces consist of meaningful talismans featuring celestial motifs and mystical symbols, as well as classic chains, statement earrings, and layer-able beads. This Myth & Magic multi charm necklace was consuming my every thought, as was their Luna Convertible Chain necklace.  THIS NECKLACE is only $29 and I wore it all summer long.  Not to spend your money but … you should nab it.

I also packed this SOMA robe but ended up lounging around in the hotel robe most of the time.  It looks great worn as a kimono with jeans or shorts, too.

And lastly, I packed this Eva Franco fuzzy mid sleeve cardi/jacket (also 40% off with code JAMIE40) to toss on should I get cold because you never know what Chicago will bring. The weather, however,  was spectacular!

So that’s a wrap!  Which was your favorite look?
