I recently posted this picture of me styling my Mom’s gifted Hermes silk scarf as a top …
… while wearing these cool sunglasses from CEV Eyewear, a luxury eyewear brand co-founded by Dallas Cowboy, Jaylon Smith.
Now, everyone DID think my sunnies were quite cool … and that their pricing was rockin’ … but THEN the requests came pouring in asking for a tutorial on how to style a Hermes scarf this way. I immediately complied with posts of very raw/unedited, super quick IG stories on how easy this is to do and they have now become my MOST VIEWED stories to date! So I thought I should share them here, as well.
HERE WE GO! Start with your large, squared shaped Hermes scarf, or ANY large square shaped scarf, for that matter.
Put on a GOOD LOOKING chain necklace, or ANY good looking necklace. Mine is from Dean Davidson and on sale!
Grab opposite corners (catty corners) of your scarf and your scarf should then be in the shape of a triangle.
Tie the scarf ends (one over, one under) in a double knot around your necklace.
Fold the tied ends over and towards your body. Then separate the hanging ends of the scarf and wrap around your back.
Tie in back. Depending upon the size of your scarf, you can tuck the scarf around your strapless bra and/or do some seriously creative tying.
And VOILA ~ you’re done! SEE how fab it looks?
Although Summer is slowly grinding to a halt, I still like to style my scarves this way and toss on a blazer or leather jacket.
Happy Holiday weekend, friends! xo
Looks gorgeous, Jamie! Enjoy your #LaborDayWeekend! 🙂
Give it a try, Veronica- it’s EASY! xo

EXACTLY! Enjoy your weekend, Mitchie!

Give it a try, Jackie!
Love this look! It’s still over 100 here in Vegas, so I definitely need to try this. One thing I have plenty of is scarves… 🙄
It’s all those estate sales, GF! Lucky you!

Thank you, Cheryl! You should try this! xo
OMG Jamie, I remember this from when I was a hippie flower child! So, okay, no one is counting (years), but it was basically the same. I borrowed my mother’s most colorful scarf, tied the first two ends around my neck, the others around my back. (Ahem, no bra in those days) Bellbottoms, sandles, a crochet bag n I was off to the park!
YES!! My sister did , too! (totally no bra.) …. and, who could forget the crochet bag???!! Love this comment, Laura- thank you!!
