I’ve had a couple of extremely popular posts in the past few weeks that are totally worthy of expanding upon and that is what I’m going to be talking about today but first I thought I’d share that today is National Underwear Day and what better way to celebrate it than to treat yourself to a few pairs of cute undies from Soma?
Soma is having a fab sale today in honor of N.U.D. and you can get 10 pairs of Embraceable panties for $40! Go for it here!. I also wanted to share that today is my Hubby’s birthday and he said he’s feeling kind of down about it so I reminded him that today is National Underwear Day and that really seemed to lift up his spirits.
OK ~ so a few weeks ago I wrote this post about the Vejo portable blender and many of you purchased it and wrote to me to tell me how much you love it.
I’m THRILLED to hear this because, as long-time readers know, I won’t blog about products that I don’t think are worthy of being on the blog ~ that’s my golden rule. I know that you’re loving the Vejo convenience and I know you’re enjoying the flavors of their various pods so because I received such response from you before, I thought it was appropriate to share with you Vejo’s latest product launch.
Yesterday Vejo introduced Collagen Glow ~ a first of it’s kind blend of 4 x’s more collagen than most products + 9 superfood extracts and Vejo’s studies have shown that your skin, hair & nails could see positive, radiant results in as little as 10 days … and who doesn’t love that?
Oh ~ and their Collagen Glow tastes like watermelon! Watermelon fresca that is, with just a smidge of mint. Vejo’s uses VERISOL® collagen and you can learn more about it’s benefits, and even get special pricing on a blender + 16 collagen pods with 30 day monthly subscription, with code JAMIE4MATCHA by clicking here. At 40 calories, 10 grams of protein and no added sugars they make for a great snack.
OK, here’s what I really wanted to talk about today: Carol Tuttle’s Dress Your Truth makeover system and to say that I’m OBSESSED with the system is putting it mildly. Just ask my hubby. I’m all over their site and private FB pages and spend HOURS watching tutorials.
Now I DO know that I’m a good dresser and can style an outfit … I’ve been told this nearly DAILY most of my adult life … but that doesn’t mean that there’s not room for improvement and I’ve often wondered if I’m really wearing the best colors for ME (please read THIS POST on the DYT system, if you haven’t yet read) and, DANG, now that I’ve delved deep into this system, I can’t get enough of it! N O J O K E.
The very first step is to determine your Energy Type by taking this initial quiz (you also have a Secondary Energy Type that plays a supporting role in the expression of YOU that can help to fine-tune your style) and now that I KNOW that I’m a Type 3 with a Secondary Type 1, SO much has changed in my closet, my makeup drawer, my eyeglass and jewelry choices and much more.
As I mentioned in my previous post ~ black, white and gray are not my BEST colors. Chocolate brown, a shade of white called wheat and nothing that even resembles gray work best for me. I now know that the makeup I’ve been using hasn’t been *quite* my right colors and my eyeglasses and jewelry aren’t *exactly* the right shapes and/or colors.
MY CLOSET HAS BEEN OVERHAULED.
Now, I still have black hanging in my closet, as this is a PROCESS that takes time … but I’m ALL IN. So as I go forward, my future purchases and/or for my next collaborations my correct T3, S1 colors will be utilized. I’m already in fine-tune mode and starting to make color swaps so I’m sharing a couple of examples of recent outfit postings:
The white isn’t wheat in either picture but that’s ok, I’ll get there … but the response I received on both posts tell me I’m heading down the right path.
I’ve also gone so far as to think about my hair differently. I recently played around with some asymmetrical styles and curls and posted this (such a very Type 3 hairstyle!) on my IG Stories:
The response to it was CRAZY good and apparently I need curls in my life! What are your thoughts? Are you on the DYT system?
Anyhoo, today I just wanted to share a few new things and some of what I’ve been learning about myself lately. Even an old fashion dog can learn a few new tricks. xoxo!
Oh Jaime. Yes to curls and Yes to that lipstick color.
Thanks, girl! I think I’m going to warm up my hair colors, too ..
* the makeup is from DYT and is my Type 3.
Jaime, the skirt looks amazing on you! It falls perfectly! Love the curl. I am trying to keep my curl but tame it a little. Love love my Vejo! Orange is my color. Will have to try the Sandia Fresca. …saw my Soma email and in honor of today they are $4 each.
SO great to hear, Mitchie! (I love my Vejo, too!) Were you also able to determine your Type?
I wasn’t. I am very much between two numbers and decided to not obsess. You have some great colors and they look great on you! I loved the idea for sure.
Mitchie, IF you’re interested pop over to Carol Tuttle’s IG account. She recently posted another way to determine your Type by your hands (there’s a pic of 4 hands posted) … My hands SCREAM Type 3. It may help you. xoxoxo!
Happy Birthday John! 🥳
I, too, have jumped on the DYT train and I find it fascinating! I’m reading her book ‘In my Nature’ and boy, I’m definitely a T4! Working on figuring out my secondary now.
The tweaks you’ve made with your colors, hair and makeup have taken your look to the next level! 😍
Thanks, Darlene! I really appreciate this nice compliment. To me, it’s just helpful to look at yourself differently and I appreciate the concepts of the program. Today I’m watching their eyebrow shape video to see how mine rank for my Type.
*Discovered that Madonna and I are both T3,S1 … who would have thought?
Love your hair styled with the curls – so chic and feminine. Is the makeup part of the dressing your truth? I did it and found out that I am a 2/4…not what I thought I would be at all but I am trying to keep an open mind and try some of these new colors.
Hi Victoria! My colors were not what I anticipated either however as I start to go forward I am incorporating them into my looks and I am pleasantly surprised! (And I’m keeping an open mind, too)
Yes – the makeup on the last 3 posts come from DYT. I bought a kit and now I’m adding more lipsticks and blushes to that mix. (I also purchased a few pieces of DYT jewelry- as IF I need anymore jewelry. Ha!)
