Hey! Things are really looking up over here … at least, as far as my hair goes.
You see, for my entire life, I have had the luxury of washing my hair every other day KNOWING that in just a matter of weeks I’d be sitting in front of my hair stylist who would quickly correct any color fading and/or bad root action I had going on. This confidence allowed me to wash my hair before it felt really grossly dirty and not really give the color all that much thought. … THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!
But as I’ve now entered into my 7th week of #QuarantineLife, and having my normally scheduled cut and root touch up cancelled 4 weeks ago, I’ve had to experiment with a few products to STRETCH out my color and have not (yet)! resorted to having the hubs attempt to color it for me. I am prepared for this next step, though, by ordering custom home hair color, made by a personal colorist and shipped to my home, from eSalon. eSalon is a pretty AWESOME program, as well as a 5 time Allure Magazine award winner. Learn all about them HERE.
Meanwhile, I’ve been keeping my hair from becoming completely tragic by using a variety of color enhancing protecting shampoos & conditioners, along with spray-on and color-in touch up sprays and sticks like the ones below.
What are YOU using?????? Please do tell.
Great ideas, Jamie–I’ve been using my little blue shampoo recommended by my hairdresser–almost out though! Thanks for the suggestions! 🙂
I’m a HUGE fan of the Madison Reed Root Touch up powder. I use it on my brows too. #TwoFor 👊🏻
Jaime, trying a box from Sprouts, “ tints of nature”. We shall see…. I sure miss the days of scheduling with Alberto. Dying to know what worked for you? Speaking as a brunette to a blonde.
The spray in color lasts for about 3 days.
L’Oreal Magic Root Rescue turned out to be an easy and amazing grey root fix. I had tried 2 others that did not take at all on the grey. I did leave it on 2X longer than the 10 minute suggestion but color is perfect and I am fussy (aren’t we all!). Also suggested this to my sister and she found it great as well. Not expensive and easy.
I have heard this about this product, too, Rudi … I just haven’t tried. Thanks for sharing with us!
I’ve been using ponytail holders, hats and a whole lotta product!!! 😬😳
product, product … PRODUCT! I think my hair is now just spray.
