The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ~ Is It Worth The Price?

So let’s start off this post by stating that this is not a sponsored post in any way. No one sent this hair dryer to me to experience and share and I’m not receiving any compensation from the Brand for me to review it. I simply decided that at the hefty price of $400 it was important for me to find out if this dryer is really worth that price tag. 

Ok ~ so I received the Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer from Santa for Christmas because it was on my list (as everyone on Instagram is raving about it!)  AND because I’ve been good.  But as I just mentioned, it’s pretty darn expensive and frankly, at that price, a pair of fab shoes or a great handbag should kinda come with it. 

The Dyson Supersonic™ is a hair dryer that is engineered to protect your hair from extreme heat damage, is super, DUPER fast drying and controls your styling capabilities which increases the smoothness and shine on your hair. The actual statics on this hair dryer show that your  hair’s smoothness increases by 75%, shine factor steps up to 132% and frizz & flyaways decrease by up to 61%! #HolyJeffSpicolli

Now ~ if all this statistical awesomeness isn’t yet enough for you to break out your PayPal finger, let me please share more.

Depending upon how wet or thick your hair is, your hair will dry in (often) a fraction of the time. Other dryers may dry fast (because they put out a lot of quick, high heat) but those dryers can create frizz. The Supersonic™ has a sensor inside that measures the heat of the air to keep it from ever getting too hot – thereby creating much less frizz. It’s also oddly quiet and you can actually hear your spouse talking to you or what the Today Show is reporting in the background.

You determine the heat and speed settings with the lightest touch of a button and the 3 styling attachments that come with it (the Styling Concentrator that has a wide, thin design to create a high-velocity blade of air; the Smoothing Nozzle to dry hair with controlled airflow for a smooth finish and the Diffuser that’s engineered to disperse air evenly around curls and simulate natural drying) are MAGNETIC and pop on and off with the greatest of ease.  I LOVE all this!!

 Now … what do I not like about the Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer?  Seriously … there’s only one thing. The big ‘ole electrical cord that is attached to it. It’s heavier than most cords, whereas the dryer itself is quite light. 

So if Air Multiplier™ technology with high-velocity controlled air for ridiculous fast drying and precision styling are totally your JAM ~ then the Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
