By now, most of you know that my mother lives in France and that I’ve traveled to France often over the years … with my next trip actually being my 35th trip there! Also, most of you know that I adore Chico’s and the people behind the brand. So it was pretty much a no-brainer when Chico’s reached out to me to share some of the secrets that I’ve learned, the things I like to do and the places I like I go whenever I travel to France (Paris, in particular) as Chico’s latest Holiday arrivals are … wait for it … inspired by FRANCE!
This was an exciting project for me because I DO love to talk about France AND because I was able to sample some of this new collection before it has arrived in Chico’s stores and online. Actually, a few of items still aren’t yet available … which is even MORE exciting as this means NO ONE else is wearing them yet! #YayForMe!

Q. What’s your definition of French Style?
A. I think French Style is all about being effortlessly chic. To me that means looking pulled together without looking like you spent hours trying to doing so.
Q. What’s your favorite place to stay while in Paris?
A. Although the Hotel Plaza Athénée* is dreamy, my husband and I nearly always stay at the Hotel Westminster, nicely located in the 2nd arrondissement, walking distance from the historic Opera Garnier (considered by many to be THE MOST beautiful building in Paris) and Place Vendome on the famed Rue De la Paix. In my opinion, everything you want to see is in this area.

Q. Have you visited Paris over the Holidays before? What is it like?
A. I have! There’s a beautiful Christmas Lights Tour that includes 150,000 lights illuminating the Champs-Elysées, a cabaret show at Paris Lido, a pastry and chocolate tour, ice skating in front of the Eiffel Tower and Christmas markets galore. It’s a magical time to go.
