Letting your sleeves hang out is a huge, new trend for fall. And in the latest edition of People StyleWatch I spied this black and white combo reflecting this very trend.
I think I was immediately drawn to it because I realized that I basically had this entire outfit already in my closet. Wait. No need to purchase something new?
So I took a stroll through my closet with a whole new set of eyes … a New Fall Trend set of eyes … and pulled together this:
Two Snaps Up ~ and all that stuff.
I’m actually pretty proud of myself because, if I want to wear this trend, there is really no need for me to go purchase some new extra-long sleeved blouse. I just stole borrowed a shirt from my husband, #ImAThinker
A quick observation about this trend: It’s super great it you’re trying to hide two fist fulls of Reese’s pieces, not so great if you want to indulge in spaghetti with red sauce.
OH ~ and long time followers, you might remember way back in the day when I took a pair of existing booties and embellished them all my by little ‘ole self thereby saving our household hundreds of dollars by not having to purchase the expensive designer version.

I know lots of people that “Go Shopping in Their Closet!”. Saves lots of bucks, and also reminds one of how big an inventory that lies dormant in that closet. And, those are great shoes!!

What a fabulously creative approach to hitting all the high style trend notes of the season with what you have in your wardrobe. I am seeing black and white, everywhere….also a berry and blush sort of combo. Your outfit is beautiful and your husband will not notice the missing shirt/new blouse. The cuffs are perfect with the Chanel-esque jacket. Meanwhile, I am swooning over the white and black Dolce & Gabbana runway jacket with the embroidery…..sigh…how to add embroidered looking detail using patches…any ideas??????
