VERSO SKINCARE ~ THE REVIEW

I first became aware of Verso skincare products after spying them on NET-A-PORTER  … and if something is on NET-A-PORTER then you know it’s pretty darn good. If you’re not familiar with the brand, here’s a quick overview.

Firstly, the word verso is latin and means reverse, as in the backside of a painting or the back view of a dress. It is what is normally hidden underneath, the mirrored view. 

Verso skincare is appropriately named as it can literally help reverse the signs of aging.

Well ~ Verso skincare is proven to work. (read the science behind it here.)  The line has an active ingredient called Retinol 8 and claims to be 8 … you heard it, 🌟 8 🌟

times more effective than other over-the-counter retinols and stimulates your skin’s own production of collagen and hyaluronic acid which, in turn, assists in reducing the signs of aging.  #Yay  #MySkinNEEDSThis

So imagine my joy and glee when I was gifted the following products to try and experience for myself:

Ok, so let me take a quick moment here to disclose that I am not a doctor, dermatologist, scientist, cosmetologist, … butcher, baker or candlestick maker … I’m just a gal with skin.  Any form of retinol could potentially cause your skin to itch, peel, flake and be more sensitive to sun exposure however, I personally did not experience any of these issues … BUT everyone’s skin is different.

(Note: Verso does claim that all of their products have been tested to be non-irritating.)

I’ve been trying the Verso Foaming Cleanser ~ which is a soothing and purifying cleanser and great for every day use. The package itself indicates that it gently removes light makeup and impurities and if I do TV or take blog pictures, my makeup is definitely not light. On those particular days, I am finding myself using a different cleanser  … but I am using this foaming cleanser every morning, before applying other products and makeup.

Bonus: the cleanser smells yummy. 👍

The Verso Day Cream is a moisturiizing and protecting cream and contains the Retinol 8 complex. It additionally contains Vitamin B3 that increases skins luminosity and has sun filters to protect the skin.

Bonus:  it IS a cream but doesn’t really feel like a cream. 👍

The last product I’ve been trying is the Verso Night Cream and it is my fave, fave FAVE! This is a calming and repairing cream with Retinol 8 complex.  The cream contains anti-oxidants from oats to protect your skin from future damage and your skin will become soft and rejuvenated.

Bonus: when I wake up in the morning, my skin is super hydrated.  👍👍👍 🎉 🎉 🎉

There are other skincare products in the Verso line, but these three products I tried pretty much made the skincare regime as easy as 1-2-3.
