Hi there, Friends! I thought I’d share a quick update on our new puppy, Lager, before I get to the *meat* of this post — the Worth New York going out of business sale.

Lager has now been with us for 1 full month, is officially 13 weeks old and weighs 8.1 lbs.  He’s adorably adorable, very loving and chews on EVERYthing, like this red slipper and old bedsheet.

Valentino, our other dog, has chosen to ignore Lager EVEN THOUGH we remind Valentino that Lager was actually brought into our family for him.  OK, and perhaps for us ,too. At any rate, we hope that the two shall finally meet and become lifelong buddies. I have caught Valentino watching Lager out of the corner of his eye.

Soooo ~ did any of you happen to shop the Worth New York going out of business sale? I am/was quite sad to hear that this luxury direct sale Women’s Fashion Brand closed its site after 29 fabulous years. I’ve been immensely pleased with everything I’ve ever purchased from them over the years, however their price point had always been a bit hard to swallow. That being said, their quality was always been superb.

Their sale was held online, and if you had been a client and/or in their data base, you were alerted DAILY that they were going to be selling all of their current stock, and previous seasons,  and so their sales went a little something like this ~ Every dress is now $80 … then All dresses are 2 for $80 …. then all dresses are now $25 each. …. You get the point.  And in the final, FINAL days the sales became Everything is $30 each, then Everything is $20 each, then EVERYTHING is $15 each  ~ and THESE were the days that I purchased.  And BOY ~ did I purchase!

I got this really great floral dress for $20 (I think it retailed for $560)

… and then this classic blouse for $15 and FAB skirt for $20 (which I believe the blouse retailed for $290 and the skirt retailed for $720 – I also purchased 16 other items) and the ONLY reason why I’m sharing this with you is because IF you missed this sale, I would start to scower Poshmark, The Real Real and eBay because that is probably where many of these items will end up.

And THEN you might considering trying what I did when I spied a Worth leather jacket on Poshmark that I had just seen on the going out of business sale but wasn’t available in my size.  I reached out to the Seller and informed them that I saw the same jacket on Worth and that they were selling it for $40 and would they (the Poshmark seller) accept for my same offer of $40 (because I was in the know!)  … and they did!

BOOM ~ I’ve got skillz.
