Yesterday we invited world-renowned Chef Boyardee into own home and had his famous beef ravioli and all I’ve gotta say is …
… DAAA-NNNG they were good!
But seriously, Friends, I dunno about you but I’ve been cooking up a storm. ALL THIS TIME we now have on our hands, my hubby and I are actually enjoying cooking together and 2 out of 3 meals we make from scratch. So if you’re like us, and feel like browsing/shopping for some new cookbooks, check out the below. There’s even an old-fashioned ‘How to properly freeze your food’ that just might come in handy right about now.
Just click an image to shop. ENJOY and Happy Cooking!
I’m surprised you found any canned goods, lol! I’ve been making homemade soups, trying new combinations with whatever we can find at the market. It’s a perfect comfort food for us and with a slice of crunchy bread, yummo! Hang in there sweet friend, and thanks for the smiles! 🙂
Nope .. no real canned goods here other than veggies as we cook every day from scratch. SO important to eat as healthy as possible.
Glad I can still make people, giggle. I hope everyone forgive the single image posts. We’ve had some camera issues but now have them resolved.
We have been doing a lot more cooking and grilling as well.
Our groceries here in the ‘burbs of Houston and constantly empty; worse than during hurricane season.
So I buy what I can get every week or two weeks (We refuse to be hoarders!)
Hubby has been making fresh bread from Paul Hollywood’s How to Bake book and we’ve enjoyed all his trials!
The thing that we miss most…the ABQ area farmers markets and our red & green chiles! Much more difficult to find down here!

Ooohhhhh – I’d miss the Chiles too!! Your hubby’s bread sounds pretty awesome.
It certainly has been a daily venture in our home. I made my first attempt at homemade tortillas and was successful according to my son and hub. It is a way to share this time together. Great selection of books. I have a few myself with one must have for your library —- “The Joy of “Cooking”. ‘Home Freezing” sounds very helpful.
DID SOMEONE SAY HOMEMADE TORTILLAS??!!!!!
I have to get that Avocado recipes book. Have you tried several recipes from it? ❤️🥑
Just 2 – but delish!
I was watching Giada on Food Network yesterday and realized I had everything to make one of her recipes…SO I DID!
Look at me go!!! 🤪
Go girl, GO!
Thanks for ALL those cookbook links. I have a plethora of cookbooks. I more like to look at the pictures 😆 I too am cooking more and it’s weird, cuz…well let’s just say my husband didn’t marry me for my cooking skills., but I am enjoying it!!!
The more I cook, the better I get. I think my hubby knows this. Ha!
