Actually … I just love Santa Fe.
So when a fantastic leather goods brand like GiGi New York, who is quite proud of the fact that they are an American design studio and manufacturer, asked myself and some other style influencers to highlight what makes our own American community special, inspirational and even historical … my response to them was easy: Have you never been to Santa Fe?
Santa Fe (which has international appeal) is also known as the City Different because well, it’s different ~ and it’s FAB. But it also has huge historical significance. Santa Fe is not only the oldest city in the New Mexico, it is also the OLDEST state capital city in the United States. The oldest church in the continental U.S. is in Santa Fe, as well as one of the oldest homes/buildings in America.
Although I am merely scratching the surface on Santa Fe’s fine history, … I mean, I’m not even talking about all the fab art, yummy food, fantastic people … I would for sure call it an American Beauty. Perhaps you should come here sometime?
Meanwhile, do tell. What makes YOUR community special, inspiring, historical and an American Beauty?
We are traveling to Santa Fe for Christmas and wondering what your favorite restaurant is ??
Ohhhhh Soooooo Manyyyyyy, Jenny, but I AM a fan of Gerominos. *** You can send me a side email, if you’d like, and we can chat about all that. XO – J
That necklace is an American beauty!!!!!! stunning and perfect with that velvet jacket.
Great insight on Santa Fe! Love the necklace!
Santa Fe is our weekend escape and yes Geronimos never disappoints.
I’ve seen the oldest church and stayed at the La Fonda and frankly I couldn’t agree more with you. But you do something extra with the necklace paired with the velvet jacket!
I love your beautiful jacket and necklace! Santa Fe sounds like an amazing place, especially in fall with the stunning orange and red colours.

Love the jacket and the necklace!! Was just in Santa Fe, great music in the central park. They have a fabulous ski area too with beautiful scenic drive. And I’m still dreamin’ of a ring I saw there 🙂
Jamie, I love Santa Fe. We lived in Taos for 10 years in Taos. Love it actually even more. 😉
We miss New Mexico badly and cannot get back often enough to suit us. But when we do it’s like we never left. We just feel *right* there.
Gorgeous embroidery and combination of pieces here.
Thanks so much, Ann! Ohhhh ~ it’s Taos just so fab?! I know exactly why you miss it.
Wait wait wait wait wait. Santa Fe looks amazing, and I’d truly like to go, but what about that velvet jacket WITH A FOX ON IT! Do you know of my total fox obsession?? AND that necklace?
Beautiful photos here; I’m sensing a whole Georgia O’Keefe vibe from the architecture around you. xxx
How did I not know about the fox obsession???
