On my previous blog post I shared with you my recent 4 day excursion to NYFW. What I didn’t share was that the day after I returned, I quickly packed and left the country for 10 days. Yep ~ 10 days! You see, my mother lives in France and I try to visit her a least twice a year and the truth was, I hadn’t actually seen her for over a year so my visit was way past due.
When my husband and I travel abroad, the last thing he wants me to do is bring my BIG suitcase so he always asks me to pack light … yeah, right, Honey. Have you not met ME??? I did, however, come up with the perfect solution for both of us and the only way I was able to accomplish this was to pack items from Chico’s Travelers Collection.
What’s so fantastic about the Travelers Collection is that the pieces are machine washable, you never have to iron them and some are even REVERSIBLE so you can create multiple looks with limited pieces. Oh ~ and can you even believe that Chico’s Travelers Collection is currently celebrating their 20 year anniversary? I mean, who would have thunk it?? #travelers20
Now, although I’ve traveled all over France for many years now, on this trip we decided to just travel to 3 different cities. So here’s how I wore my Travelers Collection pieces at the various destinations.
First stop ~ my mother’s home in La Rochefoucauld France … Don’t you have a castle in your backyard?!
Next city ~ Toulouse France … where it rained the entire time.
And, lastly ~ Paris France … where it also rained almost the entire time but who cared because we were, well … in Paris!
So I’d like to pass along a HUGE thank you to Chico’s for kindly sponsoring this post and for making my packing and outfit decisions that much easier. All opinions are my own.
Favorites from the Travelers Collection:
Looking great in all places!
Love the idea of a reversible jacket for traveling–and why not? It’s so logical!

Yes – I have, Jodie! I got home this weekend and SLEPT!!!
Must. Have. Crossbody. Bags. Which you wear so well.
Ha! Well, it was a tad “LV heavy” but I just felt like doubling down. XO
A travel wardrobe like this makes SO MUCH SENSE, especially for me. As much as I travel, I hate packing and am terrible packer. GORGEOUS photos!
PLUS it allows for more room for … SHOES!
Je suis jealous! Great outfits, love the pumps!
I scored my sister a reversible Chico’s vest for her upcoming trip to Europe.
Loved everything you wore but could we please talk about your 👠 with the attached mesh sock detail??? I’m obsessed!!!

They are SO fab, GF! I found them at Zara in France but I linked to them … they are on Zara’s site.
Great shoes, and great photoshoot!!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING… I love the Chico’s outfit on you…it is so fabulous AND IT DOES NOT WRINKLE!!!! How cool is that?? Almost as cool as having a castle in your backyard. You should be a travel writer…you are brilliant…as well as stylish….as well as kind!
I’ve always wanted to be one, Lisa. Thanks for the kind words!
I love it all! The High Heel Shoes with Mesh–super cute! But the jacket…love it!
To me, packing light=bring mostly empty suitcase and fill it with new clothes from the trip. At least the bag starts out light. heheheheh!
Enjoy your trip and say ‘hi’ to your mom!
Wow, love all the outfits! Each one is a perfect traveling essential and super chic for Paris!
Ahh so those fishnets are attached to the shoe? Wow amazing! I adore every look & love how you’ve made travelling so chic yet practical. Very clever lady xx
