If you haven’t yet figured this out already … I’m pretty much the Queen of High/Low fashion.
You know, like mixing something Chanel with something H&M. Or in this case …
something Balmain with something Light In The Box.
[ similar Elie Tahari jacket | Light In The Box dress c/o | similar Balmain cuff pre-owned | Light In The Box clutch c/o | similar sunnies | similar Givenchy earring pre-owned | similar boots – mine are Manolo Blahnik and embarrassingly old. *** Psst. Use code: MORETHANTURQUOISE at Light In The Box and receive $10 of any order over $80 ]
Or like something NYC street vendor, like my sunnies that I spent a whopping $6 on …
with a fab Givenchy single earring. … which I, ummm … spent more than $6 on.
The lion’s share of my super trendy pieces come from fast-fashion sites thereby allowing me to apply my wardrobe budget towards items that I know will last forever. I LOVE buying low but let’s face it …
it isn’t the dollar amount one puts into an outfit … but rather the amount of style they apply to it.
Don’t you think? 🙂

I always mix high with low. I can’t get over your sunglasses and single earring. I’m going shopping.
Thank you, Karen. People are always shocked at the pice of my sunglasses. I just happened to luck out.
Pretty awesome. I love mixing high and low, new and old, especially with accessories. I’m an equal opportunity shopper!
Ha! Me, TOO, Joyce. 🙂
I too love a high low mix. Every piece you have on here is great. And the close up pic is a awesome shot.
Thank you, Elaine. What’s not to love about high/low, right?!
I love fall/winter when I can mix my Hermes scarves with some well-loved and “vintage” sweaters!
Sounds FAB, Ashley!
What a fabulous post! You have just summed up my styling strategy as well….high/low fashion…a balance of fast fashion and designer brands (which I usually always get on sale or on resale). This dress is amazing and it looks incredible on you. I CAREFULLY read the size chart and I am thinking about it as the print and design of it are so interesting. Of course, you will make any garment look better, so I need to squint my eyes and try and picture it on me…which has a somewhat different look (LOL). You are so glamorous!
Yep. You and I are totally twinning.
Well done and well said, my friend!! Love this look!!
Thank you, GF!
No one has more STYLE than YOU !!!
Gosh ~ thanks, Lisa!
Really Great Fashion Shoot!!!! That single earring made it for me, for that is unique!!!
I’m loving that earring, too.
Like you I am all for mixing high and lows..
new and thrifted.. modern or vintage..
PLUS you have less probabilities on running into someone wearing something similar.
You had me at the Balmain cuff :piece of art.
EXACTLY! And I’d rather not be wearing the same something that someone else is … that’s why vintage is so great. (my Balmain cuff IS kind of dreamy… )
