Happy Friday, everyone! I’ve been wanting to share with you two really FAB beauty finds that I’ve recently discovered and to actually spend a little time to really try them out for myself. So, I took a morning off earlier this week and did just exactly that.

Let me start with sharing the fab-ness of So ChoixSo pronounced … umm, So and Choix pronounced SHWAA, which is French for “choice” allows you to try luxury makeup, including nail polish and perfume, in the convenience of your home before you spend any  money on a full-sized product only to discover that you didn’t like it and/or it didn’t work for you. AND ~ I don’t know about you, but not only do I not have enough time to go visit a makeup counter, I get mildly skeeved out using the testers that everyone else has been … testing.

yeah, uh no … not gonna do it.

So there are two ways you can try the So Choix experience. You can sample their luxury makeup products for $5 each (which turns into $5 credit towards the full–size product) or you can subscribe and every month get your choice of 5 makeup products to try. *** you’ll also earn 250 points ($5 credit) every month.

Here’s how my experience went for me. I received my c/o So Choix sample box and the various samples I wanted to try.

The first item I wanted to try was Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer – mainly because I think he’s kinda hot and maybe his products will work the same magic on me.

Happy to report that it did give my skin a bit of a nice radiant glow.

I then tried YSL ‘Rouge Pur Couture’ lip color

and it is seriously one of the best lipsticks I’ve ever tried! 💋 Oh, BTW, everyone always asks me about my beautiful, limited edition Alexis Bittar compact mirror that I scored brand-new for a ridiculously low price on Poshmark (it retailed for over $100 and has fantastic magnification) however a good google search will produce a few sites where you can try to score one as well.  I paid $30. #Snicker

Excited that I was able to sample the

Dior ‘Diorshow’ Waterproof Mascara because it truly stays on all day! Even survived a re-watch of Beaches … after consuming 2 glasses of wine. #Tearjerker

I also tried Chanel Le Vernis nail polish which I like quite a bit and is basically in every picture on this post and I tried Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow blush but I didn’t care for the color I selected on me, so I’m not wearing it. SO glad I was able to sample it first, otherwise had I purchased it in the full-size I would have wasted $26.00.

One last thing I liked about So Choix is that they include a little container …  a/k/a the Choix Pod

that you can take your samples on the go.  In my opinion, So Choix is definitely worth a test drive.

The other find I’m crazy for is this brush cleansing mat from Sigma Spa.

Betcha didn’t know that you’re supposed to clean your makeup brushes, at least, once a week.

What I LOVE about this cleansing mat is that it’s flexible,

fits most sinks and is perfect for travel. But most importantly …

I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I’ve seen my Sonia Kashuk brushes this clean. Watch this quick video to see just how awesome this cleansing mat is … Seriously.
