Although my blog is primarily a fashion blog, I do enjoy the opportunity to review new beauty products and share them with you.  Hopefully you enjoy these type of posts, as I do have a few more noted on the blog To-Do list.

Today I’m sharing my experience with Simple Beauty Minerals ~ a family-run, down-to-earth beauty marketplace featuring hand-crafted soothing mineral makeup.   Learn all about them here and be sure to pay attention to their products ingredients.

Simple Beauty Minerals recently gifted me with a variety of eco-friendly items to try (and a whole lot of fun samples, too! ) so I’m going to give you the product break down and advise which of these products I give the Triple FAB Award to and why.   Huh?  Just stick with me here …

Ok ~ the first product I’m serving up to you is:

primer

Pure Primer:  An absolute MUST have.  I totally did not understand the importance of a primer until I started making a few appearances on TV.   Thanks, HD TV, for highlighting all of my flaws.

Primers minimize your pores, your makeup stays on longer and did you know that using a primer can increase the effectiveness of your anti-aging products???  Yep ~  because it holds them to your skin!  ~ and as the SBM site says, just check in with Dr. Oz on this one.

So, simply because of that last benefit, I give this product:

triple fabThe Triple FAB Award.

Next, I’m serving up the following products:

found

Mineral Foundation:  Normally I use a liquid foundation which, admittedly, feels a bit heavy on my face, especially in the summertime. I tried the neutral 2 perfect cover foundation, which most people might apply dry, but I applied it wet.  Learn how here.  Interestingly, it didn’t feel like I was even wearing any foundation.

Cheek Color:  With 20 different colors to consider, I tried sugar plum and I LOVE IT!  More on that in just a minute …

Finish Powder:  I used my big ‘ole Dior powder brush (wishing I also owned this one ) and applied matte finish powderEVERYONE ~ this powder, and the primer, kept my makeup on all day and I did not have to do any kind of touch up and/or my usual shine removal.

I was quite pleased, however out of all 3 of these products, the cheek color received:

triple fabThe Triple FAB Award.  This little pot of cuteness will be on my face from here on out and, for sure, when I go on TV.  Because normally when I’m on air, it looks like I showed up ~ but my cheeks remained at home.

Serving up:

mascaraThe ultimate healthy mascara that makes your lashes lush and full andOH ~ how I wish scratch and sniff worked on the internet right about now … it smells like blackberry jam!

You guessed it.

What I really like about Simple Beauty Minerals is that you can Try Before You Buy with their custom mineral makeup sample packet.

I tried samples of simple basics and mystery from their mineral eye shadows collection, their pixie dust radiance finish powder, the jojoba creme scrub, the crisp cucumber toner, the pink mineral complexion barbecause I was intrigued  and my fave out of all of the samples was the whipped olive oil creme. ~ you’ll just have to click to see why.

Looks like fun, right?

So, I’ve got one last fab thing to share before I go stare at my makeup in the mirror … again.   Sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of this link and receive a coupon for 20% off your first order.  NO special code needed!
