Ok. Have you ever used a retinol product that caused your skin to be dry and/or flaky and also irritated your skin? I certainly have.
So, when the kind folks at Healthy Directions gifted me a full-sized bottle of Dr Lark’s Trilane Retinol + Vitamin C moisturizing oil, I was excited to try it out because the product claims to:
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles ~ You had me at Reduce.
- Protect your skin from environmental damage
- Smooth and even out skin texture
- Speed turnover of skin cells
- Gentle enough for everyday use ~ There’s more, but my blog post can only be so long.
Additionally, their nifty little chart was seriously sparking my interest.
I have been using Trilane Retinol + Vitamin C moisturizing oil for 2 weeks now. I’ve discovered that a little bit of this oil (like 1 or 2 drops) goes a long way, and …
So, “Do I like it?” ~ you ask, needing to know now.
I DO. This product appears to be doing exactly what it claims it will do however, I have one comment. Because this is an oil, I found that, for my skin, it is best that I use this product at night. Otherwise, if I use it in the morning, I feel like I don’t have enough time to allow my skin to fully absorb it before I plop all my makeup on. Other than this issue, I think this product is great! ~ it also didn’t hurt that that the last time I ordered a glass of wine, the server carded me. Did that happen because this product is doing a bang-up job? or… (no need for anyone to really comment here.)
