Recently boohoo reached out to me and asked if there were any style icons from the past that have truly inspired me and, if so, might I be able to put together a style icon inspired look that included fab items from boohoo?
OK. Well ~ this was kind of cosmically weird, as I was, in fact, considering purchasing this dress from boohoo AND my style icon is (and will always be) the Grande Dame of Fashion: Coco Chanel.
Is the Universe talkin’ to me or what?
Everyone needs a classic black dress and my dress was only $20! Yes … $20. Pinky swear.
boohoo is a global online fashion retailer and has an immense selection of dresses to choose from, along with oodles of other on-trend items for women and men.
But let’s keep going with this Chanel Inspired Style Icon look.
Firstly, I decided to head back to Casa Esencia for my photos because a beautiful outfit demands a beautiful venue and it was important that I do Ms. Chanel proud.
Then ~ I selected from boohoo these c/o cuffs, these c/o pearl earrings, this c/o FAB clutch and my favorite accessory of the entire outfit ~ this c/o bow tie. (the shoes and pearls I already owned)
So, do I think I put together an outfit that Chanel herself would approve of? I’m sayin’ #NailedIt!
