Are those for real?

I completely understand investing money on great, high-end designer pieces – as they will generally last for years. I do have my fair share of these items and I will treasure them forever. However, a recent shoe purchase really got me thinking about how I might want to consider doing a little research before I plop down the ‘ole Black AMEX (ahem!) in the future.

I purchased these rockin’ shoes for under $30.  You say Valentino ~ I say VALUE-tino!

Sure, I could have purchased the pair below for $900+… but mine were pretty darn close to the look that I was trying to achieve.

I’m not really “about” purchasing items that are clearly designer fakes Pieces that are created to deceive the public, with the designer’s name on it (often misspelled) –  but  I absolutely LOVE “Designer Inspireditems!

Here are some shoes I’ve been eye-balling lately with some inspired alternatives:

The Jimmy Choo Sepia two-tone platform pump.  You could get them here or you might consider getting this pair.

Chloe Suede Susan studded ankle boots can be purchased  here or you could get this pair and THEN purchase 25 other things for yourself or for someone else! I got a similar pair at ShoeDazzle.

Super cute Kate Spade Charm heels which come in a variety of colors or maybe consider these.

I adore these Giuseppe Zanotti spiked suede wedges and might even go for them – or these are close… plus, they’re leopard!

For the evenings and the holidays, here’s the Jimmy Choo Clue glitter slingback or you could get these AND… a new dress!

Everyone loves the Isabel Marant Bekett printed sneaker.  I guess you could skip out on your car note this month to buy them – or you could just get these.

So, nothing fake about these shoes… just “inspired.”  Fake – fake – fake.  This word does not come out of my mouth.

Did you say take a walk ??

Nooo… I said  “I don’t say fake a lot!”  (or maybe I said “piece of cheese?”… I get the same reaction out of you guys either way.)
