As I’ve mentioned before, I am a bit of a fashion spaz. I love every kind of look and there isn’t really just one particular look that can truly define my style. It’s like I have multiple fashion personalities…and…together, I keep those multiple personalities in check. (man…sometimes I just crack myself/us up.)
They all do try to talk to me: “You should buy that.” – “No, you should not buy that.” – “But you totally need it.” – “Maybe… but not in THAT color.” It’s maddening! There is, however, one thing that all of my slightly wackadoodle voices can agree upon: Buy ANYTHING you possibly can from Pamela Adger at Travelers Market.
Where exactly is Travelers Market? Well – let me first ask if you have ever attended the yearly International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe? Do you love it? If so, Travelers Market is kind of a mini version of the International Folk Art Market – but is available to you all year ’round!
Travelers Market is located in Santa Fe on the backside of DeVargas Center. I was told by my Fashionable Friend that I absolutely must go check it out – so I did! That’s where I discovered Pamela Adger and her amazing jewelry. Pamela is completely in-tune with Mother Nature and has a respect for all cultures – past and present. All of her pieces reflect this love.
I am forever asked where I purchased my earrings and ring. Now YOU know! I think Pamela is fab-u-lous. She’s even written a book “All things have a voice.” (By the way…if you’ve ever wanted to self publish, you could try your hand at that here)
But there’s more. Travelers Market has 45 different dealers of fine tribal & folk art, antiques, books & jewelry. There are also a variety of shows and events that take place there. The first time I popped in there was an African exhibition on display. The next time I went back, they were cooking Peruvian foods.
You just need to go there and hang out. I did, and that gorge wooden necklace with the coral and turquoise went home with me as well.
I blame the voices…
