Happy Sunday, everyone!
I’m doing a rare Sunday post to share with you that after the success of my Santa Fe Getaway video, I decided it was about time for me to visit another FAB city here in New Mexico … and I couldn’t think of better place to travel to than Taos, New Mexico. Now, I’ve been to Taos many times but this time I did it different ~ THIS time, I did it right!
And I’m super excited to tell you that I captured all the FABness of this trip, and of Taos, so that you could enjoy it, too. So, please just click on the arrow below to see for yourself and then be sure to come on back so I tell you all about it.
Ok ~ so I did two really important things right on my 3 days excursion to Taos.
The first thing that I did that was right was to stay at the El Monte Sagrado Living Resort & Spa. Everything about this resort is gorge from the grounds, to the salt water pool and The Living Spa to the food and Anaconda Bar ~ but I was especially thrilled to lay my head down at night in the Spain Global Room … next time I come here I plan to stay in the Japan Global Room. #Swoon
.
The other thing that I did that was right, and seriously ~ this just took everything up to a whole new level, was to connect with Angelisa Espinoza, owner and guide of Heritage Inspirations, LLC. It is Heritage Inspirations (H.I.) mission to provide YOU, dear traveler and blog follower, with an inspirational experience that elevates your sensations, palate and spiritual encounters when you visit the Land of Enchantment.
It was H.I. who took me to out on the best hiking trails of La Vista Verde Trail and to THE best spot to view the spectacular Rio Grande Gorge.
It was H.I. who arranged a very special side trip to Chimayó, New Mexico where I was able to spend time at the El Santuario de Chimayó and, of course, purchased some of the famous Chimayó chile … and then took me for a fun stop at Vivác Winery.
.
… ventured into town. The only museum I had not visited in Taos before was the Millicent Rogers Museum. I was so glad I treated myself to some time there ~ she, her life and her collections are/were fascinating.
And the last thing I knew that I had to do before leaving Taos was to swing by the hottest chocolate spot in town, chokolá bean to bar. #LifeIsGood
So, friends, what do you think? Is Taos fab or what? Perhaps the next time you’re honey asks Where should we travel to next? … you’ll find yourself saying Take Me To Taos!
*** Thank you to Heritage Hotels & Resorts for partnering on this video. If you find yourself in New Mexico for the International Balloon Fiesta, why not consider staying at Hotel Chaco? Learn more here. Fab video via Sky Turtle Creative.
Wow …… What a beautiful place! Everything! We visited Santa Fe a few years back but didn’t make it over to Taos. Hope to now.
Taos is really a beautiful city, Christine. Hope you can come and visit!

Thank you, my friend! XO
Great post!!! I loved your video.
Thank you, Rosemary! The entire experience was fabulous.
Great post and I love all the Heritage hotels. Taos is unique and you did it justice. And of course all while looking gorgeous.
I love HH&R, too, Kyla. The really do know how to do it right. (*** thank you for your kind comments!)
Being a Native New Mexican myself we tend to take this beauty for granted. Lucky for me, I work for an organization that covers a vast area of this enchanted land….sites and culture tied in with our history. You displayed it in your video! Loved it! Nice way to show your followers that there is a lot to see in this great state of NM ❤️!
Thank you, Mitchie! I appreciate your kind words … we are so lucky, right?!
Fabulous Video Jamie! Loved the entire feeling of the places you visited and the resort, thank-you for sharing your adventure!!
Thanks, Rosalie ~ The resort IS quite fab.
Well done. Must have that beautiful blue dress you wore to the pool.
Love the video, the locations and your outfits–what fun! Would love to make tamales and walk the grounds 🙂 I’ma comin’ to New Mexico!
PS the painting at the museum could be you!
Hey – I’ll take that painting compliment, Veronica! *** if you do come to NM, please reach out.
Nailed it! Way above the usual Chamber of Commerce or State of New Mexico Trailways stuff that one only glosses over. This post is FIRST RATE!
You sum up what modern SW style should be! Thank you!
Thank you, Patty!
So interesting! I read a biography on Millicent Rogers, she loved Taos! My husband & I are going to start exploring New Mexico more!
Yes- she was very interesting. If you ever come this way- please reach out. I’ll offer up ideas. I’ve had a couple of people reach out today since this video for ideas, as well. I’m happy to assist!
Thank you for a refreshing perspective on Taos Jamie. Our art gallery up the street from El Monte Sagrado Resort meets many art collectors who stay at the resort and it’s always a pleasure.
Great to know, David! I’ve had lots of response to today’s video/blog. Now I know an additional place to share with my followers. Thank you!
Thanks for the spotlight on our little town! It’s the jewel in New Mexico’s crown!
It sure is FAB, Lynne!
And so are you, and your blog – great to see our neck of the woods through a sophisticated eye!
Very kind words, Lynne. Thank you!
Thank you for including Vivac Winery in your visit and your blog! We love partnering with Heritage Inspirations, offering guests a more unique and intimate way to visit our tasting room. You did a beautiful job of showing the elegance that can be found in the Taos area. We look forward to having you back!
Thank you, Michele! I will take you up on that fab offer. You’re winery is fantastic!
Oh, Jamie! Your videos are so well done! From start to finish–you make me want to travel to Taos! Love all the apparel, too!
Thanks so much, Kim! I really enjoyed my trip to Taos and I , of course, had to dress the part! XO
Taos is my go to city! Have spent a lot of time in various rentals. All so different from each other. Doc Martins is also a fun place to plop! The place regenerates my soul!
I LOVE Doc Martins. Carol! I agree about Taos. Magical.
The Taos video was so great, I went back to look at the one from Santa Fe. They are “enchanting.”
