I’ve noticed lately that more and more bloggers/vloggers are adding a travel element or segment to their blogs. Many are providing their followers with fantastic city guides, places to stay, highlight fashion and food and offer suggestions on things to do and see. These posts are fun to read and watch because they can really give you an “insider’s scoop” on a particular city or state.
I have also noticed, however, that there are very few of these posts from New Mexico. HOW can this possibly be?
I mean, don’t people know that New Mexico is also known as the Land of Enchantment? And that Santa Fe (which has international appeal) is also known as the City Different because well, it’s different … and it’s FAB. You’ll find no other city like it in the United States. Who wouldn’t want to hear/see more about that?
So a few weeks ago, the kind folks at Heritage Hotels and Resorts treated me to a pre-holiday getaway (as well as breakfast in bed!) to the amazing city of Santa Fe. I can’t tell you how much I needed this trip and it was the perfect opportunity for me to share MY insider scoop and include some of my favorite things: fashion, beauty, shopping, travel and, of course, … the Land of Enchantment.
Please watch my video to see for yourself.
You SO want to come here, don’t you?
Now, one only stays at a HH&R hotel if they appreciate such things as top-notch customer service, excellent restaurants and spas and hotels that are nicely located in the middle of the action. Hotel guests can receive a 15% discount at select local shops and galleries during their stay. FAB stores … like nambé.
.
When visiting Santa Fe, there is so much to do and see. You simply must visit The Plaza, which is also known as “the heart of the city”. Here you will find clothing, art and jewelry stores, as well as “El Portal” at the Palace of the Governors, the source for authentic Native American crafts and jewelry. There are also many museums in this area that are only a hop, skip and a jump away.
You also can’t NOT stroll up and down the historic Canyon Road, which has over a 100 galleries, boutiques and restaurants in one half mile. And if you’re here at Christmas time, the Christmas Eve Farolito Walk on Canyon Road is a “must-do”.
.
Santa Fe has a fantastic opera house, as well as a premier performing arts center, The Lensic, which I LOVE. The art scene is alive and well. OH ~ and can we talk abut the food? THE BEST! … Do you want red or green chile?
.
So no one blog post can cover all of the many things that makes Santa Fe so special. I am only scratching the surface. To learn far more, click here.
But let me please finalize by saying that I believe that no Santa Fe trip is complete unless you spend an hour or three at Rocki Gorman’s store.
This is, perhaps, my favorite store in Santa Fe. I love everything about it. Her clothing, her jewelry … AND Rocki herself.
I do apologize to all of the other stores I frequent in Santa Fe, but … you know. *** other New Mexican products and companies that made an appearance in my video were my Matt Duran cuff, my Italisan necklace and cosmetics from Vapour Organic Beauty.
And so now that I have treated you to j-u-s-t a little taste of Santa Fe, I ask this again. When are YOU going to come to New Mexico?
S H O P I T:
I love this, Jamie! Very cool idea to encourage folks to visit our fine state and see the natural and cultural beauty unique to this area!
Thank you, Michelle! I might have let the cat out of the bag about how FAB NM is. (oops.)

I love everything about this video!!! When’s the Jamie Lewinger tour of SF…fashion, food, fun and wine with the friendies?!? Congrats 😍🙌🏼🍾!
Thank you, D! I filmed it weeks ago and it was a much needed break. I like your idea about a tour, though… (!)
I’d like to sign up for the J. Lewinger Tour de SF!!
That would be an amazing weekend!!
Let’s do it!!
Wonderful video and fashions! Love the Heritage Hotel groups. Rocki Gorman is a NM treasure. Bravo Jamie.
Thank you, Kyla! I’ve lived on both coasts and states in between. New Mexico is the winner!
WOW! What can I say….everything I love in one video. From the moment you stepped out of that fabulous sports car until the very end, I was captivated. Love Sante Fe. Somehow, I never knew about Canyon Road…my husband probably paid off all his friends and tour guides to keep it a secret from me. Of course, the highlight was Rocki Gorman’s boutique. I am such a fan of hers and I saw you trying on the ruana I have had my eye on forever. Love her work. The OPERA, the historical sights…one of our oldest towns is Santa Fe…the food, and now the shops. I have to go back and check out that spa. Thank you for this incredible video. I will be watching this again and again. You look gorgeous!
Lisa- what a fabulous comment! We LOVE Rocki here, for sure. (Psst… I think husband’s DO have a way of keeping that shopping stuff a secret!)
All I can say is LOVE!!!! There is no place like Santa Fe! And you look beautiful!
Gosh- Thanks, Debbie! Glad you agree about Santa Fe … it’s seriously pretty fab.
FAB,First-Rate!!
We have reservations for New Years weekend . ..it’s been a favorite getaway for 40 years…
Ooooohhhhh! That’s exciting! I live about 30 miles outside of SF (so this was a “near-cation” for me) and after all these years … I’ve never been in SF for New Years Eve/Weekend (only Christmas Eve) ~ I’ll need to know the scoop!
FAbulous video! I have visited Santa Fe once and cannot wait to return! Thank you!
Deb, Deb Deb … MUST come back. We can meet at Rocki’s!
Excellent travelogue with a beautiful hostess in motion.

You, my friend are the hardest working blogger in all the land! I LOVE THIS!!!!
Beautifully done Jamie!
Thanks so much, Chuck!
Lovely visit to The City Different. Red or Green? Christmas is the answer! Different choice of music would spice it up.
