So it was only just yesterday that I announced that I wasn’t going to be blogging for a week and that I would be taking a short, little vacay. That WAS, in fact, the plan.
However upon arrival to my vacation destination, France in this case, I powered on my cell phone only to discover that Redbook Magazine, yes THE Redbook Magazine, had sent me an email that has now rocked my world.
You see, Redbook publishes an annual Real Women Style Awards where “real” women, not just bloggers or stylists or anyone else who might be in the fashion industry, but REAL women submit their entries (thousands from all over the country) to be considered for their Style Awards and their email (after hours of flying, schlepping of luggage and a general lack of any real sleep) informed me that I, along with 24 other applicants, had been chosen as the 25 top finalists for this year!
