The Heart Of New Mexico

Most of us either know someone who has been impacted by heart disease and/or you suffer from it yourself.  Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths every year. That is approximately one woman every minute!

Heart disease doesn’t affect all women alike, and the warning signs for women aren’t the same as in men.  Educating yourself on this disease and the signs of a heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest are some of the first steps towards saving your life and the lives of others.

The American Heart Association is here to help,  as their very mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  And … super exciting news … our local AHA’s annual Heart Ball just so happens to be right around the corner.

That’s right ~ this fabulous, yearly fundraising gala is less than 12 days away and I’d like to share just a smidge of the fun stuff that is in store for you.

This year’s Heart Ball is titled “Fiesta de Corazon” and will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa on Saturday, October 17, 2015.   OH ~  and, even more exciting, the attire is black tie.   #Yay #MyFavoriteKindOfAttire  

I was thrilled to learn that the yummy table wines will be provided by VARA Wines because

Fiesta de Corazon will have a huge offering of silent auction items, such as the beautiful necklace I’m wearing from local artist, Lindsey Wells, that everyone and their dog has an interest in.

Ok, little VARA Wine doggie.  There is a bidding process in place so if you also have an interest in this necklace, you’ll need to place your bid just like the rest of us. 

THEN, if you happen to be the highest bidder at the end of the evening, you’ll be able to take this fab necklace home with you.  The ‘ole snatch and run isn’t gonna fly here … BUT… you sure are cute.
