SO THRILLED,  I was,  when Paula Dorf cosmetics gifted me with this beautiful Aztec City Eye Color Palette set

Paula Dorf Aztec City Eye Pallette 1

and great Lash Color in Teal

for this sponsored post because normally I stick to my usual makeup basics.  You know, neutral eye shadows and black mascaras.  yawn.

But since I started doing weekly fashion segments on 2 KASA Style, I’ve been more willing to try different makeup looks. And, frankly, TV makeup is just so different than normal daytime makeup that you pretty much have to go all out ~ otherwise it looks like you’re not wearing any makeup at all.

Since I am TV makeup-challenged, I brought my new kit and mascara to my girl, Kristin, (who does such a terrific job on my makeup for TV) so that we could try it out for a show.

Kinda fab, huh?

These are high quality shadows so you don’t have to apply many layers to achieve the look.  We also added eyelashes and applied the teal mascara.

If you’re not familiar with Paula Dorf cosmetics, she is perhaps best known for her “trick” products, such as the liquid eyeliner transformer which transforms any eye shadow into a long wearing, smudge-proof liner and her Perfect Primer, which keeps your foundation fresh.  Learn more about all of her products here.

I do, indeed, love my gifts from Paula Dorf, but is it really fair of me to form my opinion based on looks that were created by a professional makeup artist?  I decided that I had better try these products out by myself,  ON myself.

Here is my daytime look:

Me likey ~ Me likey!  Ok, so I’m no pro but it was pretty easy.  PLUS I did receive lots of double-takes throughout the day.  Was it the gorgeous eye shadows or the shock of not seeing me in my usual makeup uniform?

So if you think you might “likey” to try out my eye shadow kit as well, then I’ve got a little extra incentive for you.  If you purchase the Aztec City Eye Color Palette and use code: TEAL ~ Paula Dorf will give you a FREE teal mascara with your purchase!

And now that I’ve got my new makeup looks under control, let’s talk about a subject matter for which I am NOT challenged with whatsoever:
