The holiday season is THE time of the year where we can wear all of our BLING and not be asked if you just returned from performing at The Palms in Vegas.

I love to get dressed up for parties and dinners, to rock in the new year and to just feel glamorous.  One can overload on bling and it can be quite expensive. You could also be more subtle and not invest too much money or time on it.

Personally, I can go either way ~ just as long as bling is somewhere in the equation.

It’s the holiday season, folks! Break out of your comfort zone ~ ZHOOSH IT UP!

evening bling

BaubleBar Necklace and the white quartz ring is from HSN.  (the ring is sold out…but this is similar)  Neither is too expensive.

full on bling

This is what I call my FULL-ON bling Elvis suit from Dior (old, and I don’t normally wear them together)… but you might consider something like this suit and wear them as separates.  These pants would be a perfect starting point.

My bracelet is DIY.  All I did was take a metal cuff, glued a strip of a fur remnant from  my Grandmother’s old stole on it and then lined the edges with rhinestone trim from Hobby Lobby. A 5 minute project.

gf gifts

You might decide that touches, or accents, of bling may be all that you need.

GF gifts

Hair clip from Hair Comes the Bride, diamond pave chain link bracelet from Skin Stones and my gold miniaudiere is vintage…like this one.

Or you can always do something in-between.

lipsyjacket

Everyone:  Meet my leg.  My version of the Angelina Jolie pose.

evening bling

My jacket is Lipsy Kardashian sequin biker jacket, earrings are BaubleBar (no longer on wait-list!), and the bracelet is from the World of Lea Black. Check out her handbags, too. Yum-mo!

So, bling can be as little or as much as you are comfortable with.  Just make sure you do it!

Then, you can post pictures of yourself on Instagram (If you don’t know how, ask a neighbor kid to teach you) with #bling #BlingBling or #BLING-A-LING-A-LING!
