…an agate slice.  I have found myself with a really large stash of agate slices.  I purchased them years ago at the Tucson Gem and Jewelry show.

I have so many I finally decided I needed to do something with them.  Of course, there is the obvious project – coasters.  Ok, but could I not come up with something a bit more creative?  Let me show you how you can boss up an agate slice.

agate box

EVERY person I know is going to get one of these boxes from me! Well, actually I only have 3 boxes…the FIRST 3 people who pop into my head will be getting one of these phenomenal boxes.  (You’re welcome.)

Agate framed

I could cover 5 rooms with the amount of agate slices I have – floor to ceiling- but what a lovely way to display them.  Beautiful!

agate chanel

If you haven’t figured this out yet – I LOVE CHANEL.  Initially when I purchased my agate slices, I had intended to make a necklace like the one above.  (yes, the subtle one)  Now I know how!

agate- chanel like

Slightly different but along the same vein.   What is super great about this necklace is that you can swap out the agate slices with another.

Agatebracelet

These chunky bracelets are pretty amazing.

Agate necklace

SUPER easy necklace project.

Another necklace – the chain along the edge is nice detailing.

Agate Tree With Christmas approaching – this would be stunning as a table centerpiece.

WHAT you say?  You don’t have agate slices laying around? You can purchase them here. Or, if you want a custom agate slice, you can even make your own.

My only piece of advice on all of these projects is just to be careful if you are someone who is challenged by glue.  You don’t want something like this to happen:
